Turbine profiles

Our Wind Co-op is a unique cooperative of small-scale wind turbines on farms, ranches and public and private facilities across the Northwest. Through this collaborative effort, 10-kW turbines were installed at numerous rural sites serviced by publicly-owned utilities.

Initially supported by grants from the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development program, Our Wind Co-op created low-risk opportunities to explore on-farm green power production, distribution, ownership and marketing models to meet local energy needs.
